Meet Loren Pincus, Senior Partner

Loren Pincus is a lifelong Floridian who grew up in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County. After graduating from Boca Ciega High School, he accepted an academic and baseball scholarship to pursue his bachelor’s degree at Eckerd College. He was a four-year member and Captain of the school’s NCAA Division II Baseball Team. Loren moved north for law school where he attended and graduated from New England School of Law in Boston, MA before returning to his Florida roots to start his legal career.

Before establishing L Pincus Law in 2017, Loren worked for seven years at one of the oldest and most well-respected civil and criminal litigation firms in the Tampa Bay area. Prior to that experience, he served for nearly five years as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County. While employed as a prosecutor, Loren served as a Lead Trial Attorney while handling a broad range of misdemeanor and felony cases, many of which received media attention.

As a prosecutor, Loren tried 50 cases to jury verdict, including first-degree murder, capital sexual battery, and DUI manslaughter. As a civil litigator, Loren has handled cases from their inception, through the litigation process, and onto settlements or jury verdicts. Loren routinely obtains favorable settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients because his experience enables him to anticipate how opposing counsel will proceed in civil and criminal matters, giving him an edge to effectively respond to their actions.

Loren is a member of the Bar in the State of Florida, the State of New York, and the District of Columbia. He has also been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America and the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. He has achieved an AV Preeminent rating, which is the highest possible rating bestowed by Martindale-Hubbell, based upon the input of local Judges and fellow attorneys. He maintains a “Superb – 10/10” ranking on Avvo®; is a member of the Florida Justice Association; the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association; and the Pinellas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In 2021, Loren was appointed to serve a two-year term on the Community Counsel for the Office the State Attorney in Hillsborough County. He has also earned a spot among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Thanks to his love for the sport and his extra-curricular athletic experience, Loren also became a licensed Athlete Agent in Florida and is a Certified Player Agent by the Major League Baseball Players Association. He currently represents several professional baseball players.

When he’s not working, you can find Loren spending time with his wife, Ali and their two children. When he is not coaching or watching one of his kids’ sports teams, they enjoy traveling and being with their extended family.

Meet Josh Johnson, Associate Attorney

Josh Johnson is a Florida and Tampa native, born and raised right here in the Bay area.  After graduating from Wiregrass High School in Wesley Chapel, Josh attended Bethune-Cookman University, a Historically Black University in Daytona Beach, on a baseball scholarship. During his time at Bethune-Cookman, Josh found success both in the classroom and on the baseball field. He graduated with Honors and a degree in Business Management.  After college, Josh played multiple seasons of professional baseball in the United States and Canada.

After his playing career ended, Josh further established his Tampa Bay area roots by earning a scholarship to and attending Stetson University College of Law. Stetson is routinely ranked as one of the top law schools in the country for trial advocacy.  While in law school, Josh was heavily involved in extracurricular activities and served as the Chairman of the Intramural Sports Board.  After completing his first year of law school, Josh was the first Legal Intern hired at L Pincus Law, PLLC. Upon graduating from Stetson, Josh successfully passed the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law throughout the state of Florida.

Josh had many options for where to begin his bright legal career.  However, he found that his passion for helping people aligned well with that of L Pincus Law’s Senior Partner, Loren Pincus.  Josh remembered the passion with which Loren fights on behalf of his clients and knew that was his calling as well.  Josh joined L Pincus Law as an Associate Attorney in 2021.  Since joining the firm, Josh has handled cases from their inception all the way through highly-contested court hearings.  He has already achieved multiple six-figure personal injury settlements for his clients.        

Josh is married to his lovely wife, Kaylynn, who is a talented educator in the Tampa Bay area.  Both of them are heavily involved in the softball community and play professionally across the country.  In addition to sports, Josh and Kaylynn enjoy their two precious rescue pups named Jeter and Brady.
